Property was in a community friendly, quiet neighborhood. Did require motorized travel (we rented golf cart and used SUV to carry beach items to beach as it would have been too far to walk to beach access from location. There is a private beach access which was convenient although much of the parking was conducive more for golf carts and not vehicles but there were some places, we were able to park. The property is well equipped with kitchen ware. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider staying here if we decide to vacation in the area again.

Great location within a well kept small community. Easy access to the beach. House living room furniture and carpet has quite a bit of wear and tear. Oven didn’t work. Overall 3 out of 5.

Our 2 month stay this year was interrupted by stay-at-home restrictions. The great amenities we enjoyed for 2 weeks were closed down, correctly to ensure peoples safety. Despite the lack of community activities our place on Goerges Bay was the best place for lockdown we could have hoped for. Lovely porch in the front of the house and deck on the lake with a fountain view in the back allowed us to be outdoors in the sun. Plenty of walking and bike riding availability. The rear deck could use an upgrade of the furniture and the kitchen could benefit by better cookware which would be great for long term stays. Also, there was no way to receive mail over our stay, this caused a lot of problems especially during this time of needing to order thins online. We were happy to be able to support local restaurants which were all closed by using curb side pick uo, all did a wonderful job. Also, we utilized all 7 days on our pass at Brookgreen Gardens for beautiful, peaceful socially distanced walks, The very unusual circumstances of March and April didn't deter us from booking for the winter next year, it's a wonderful place.

We loved staying in Oceanside Village and enjoyed all the facilities and friendly people. The house is a great unit and well laid out. I especially loved the back deck overlooking the pond. The deck furniture was not very comfortable, the decrepit bar set up should go. More comfortable back deck furniture would be a real asset. The house is great but interior very dated and worn out esp furniture and walls (badly need paint). Mats old and dirty. Kitchen appliances good. Beds comfortable but bedding needs to be upgraded and not sure they are washed often. Couch comfortable but as with rest upholstery very worn. Overhead nick knacks in kitchen and living filthy with dust cobwebs. Maybe time for a change there. All soft furnishing eg throw pillows, mats old, dirty, worn out. An easy improvement. Although living room rugs has been cleaned the dining room rug and bedrooms could use cleaning. The condition of the front door mat speaks for the rest of the house.
Ridiculous that no mop and bucket. The floors are tiled but not expected to be washed? Needs a deep, thorough cleaning and basic maintenance and upkeep like painting. These improvements would certainly make our stay more pleasant but I can live with this for a few months and we enjoyed our stay.

I really like Oceanside Village. The people are very friendly and having the aqua aerobics, fitness classes, crafting etc is great. It is close to the beach and shopping, dining.
